[ DW: untitled ]
Aug. 16th, 2005 02:32 pmFandom: Sangoku Musou 5 / Dynasty Warriors 5
Genre: Uh, fluff.
Characters: Gan Ning, Ling Tong
Warning: The reason I couldn't complete the Gan Ning/Lu Xun thing is because I fell in love with this pairing.
Of course, Ling Tong defeats him spectacularly at Chinese chess. Gan Ning doubts he has ever seen the younger officer laugh so hard, doubts he has even seen him laugh before at all.
Of course, Gan Ning, insufferably proud, demands a rematch – not at chess. Ling Tong is skeptical but out of honor, doesn’t refuse when the pirate declares, "Wrestling!"
He instantly regrets it the next day when it pours mercilessly, and he is pinned to the muddy ground with his rival crowing victory above him. Water beats down his throat when he tries to protest. He swallows the cold bitter water and tries again, but fails because Gan Ning is hovering over him with a tiger’s look in his eyes and pressing their mouths hungrily together.
"What...what are you doing?” stutters Ling Tong, though his hands cling desperately to the pirate's arms, trying to find purchase on the rain-wet skin.
"What's it look like, genius?" answers Gan Ning, smirking before diving.
Ling Tong pushes him back by the forehead but only manages to undo the other man’s scarlet bandana. "Stop trying to eat my face!" he yells, thinking about his father and revenge and Wu and war and the hand sliding down his thigh.
"I'm not trying to eat your goddamned face!" snaps Gan Ning in exasperation, rolling his eyes while he draws back. He crawls off and sits on the damp ground, carding hands through his messy hair. "God, you're such a wimp!"
Ling Tong sits up immediately, eyes narrowed. "I am not!"
The pirate’s grin is fanged. "Oh yeah?" he says, "Prove it then."
Ling Tong does, much to Gan Ning's delight.
